Service & Installation

From the moment we step onto the boat for that first service call to the moment we step off after the project completion seatrial, and forever after that, we want this to be as painless and pleasurable experience as possible for you.

We start with an eyes wide open approach to what equipment you have now and what equipment you need to fit YOUR needs moving forward.  From there, it involves all necessary due diligence to determine compatibility and real world results and realistic expectations of what the new equipment will provide BEFORE the purchase and installation of anything.

As with our electrical service work, every effort is made to install that equipment in a manner consistent with the manufacturer's recommendation.  Beyond that, the same level of effort is made to meet either or both of ABYC and NMEA installation standards.  More times than not, this involves removing abandoned equipment and/or wiring. Sometimes, abandoned components and wiring can be found from multiple past installations (I think 3 past installation’s dead equipment/wiring is our record).  This abandoned equipment has no business on the boat, and typically, beyond adding dead weight, is clogging and complicating wire runs and impairing visual inspection moving forward.  Electrical diagrams are almost always helpful and we are able to use programs like Autocad to create new diagrams for existing systems or upgrades if so desired.

Chartplotters/MFDs

Once a “new” idea, these are more prevalent now than ever.  On more and more boats these are being  used as an interface for every system on the boat.

Sounder & Transducers

The capabilities of underwater detection for recreational vessels is vastly improving at a rapid rate.  It is amazing what these devices can do compared to as little as 10 years ago.  From a user standpoint the location of the hardware (especially the transducer(s)) as well as the frequencies and transmit power chosen should reflect the user’s intended use for the boat.

Radar

It can see what you can’t.  From a long way away.  A great safety (and fishing) addition to any boat.

Autopilot

If you haven’t driven a boat on Autopilot, try it.

VHF/AIS

Still relevant safety systems even well into the 21st century.  When networked with a compatible MFD, these systems give another level of awareness and security.

Satellite TV, Phone, and Internet

Elon.  Starlink.  Changing everything right in front of us.

Night Vision Cameras

So now you actually can see at night.  The definition and capabilities of these cameras just keep getting better.

Security Systems and Cameras

Gost. A great company with excellent support of their products, new and old.  Beyond that, on larger vessels especially, cameras give you eyes anywhere you want them.

Software Updates and Diagnostics

Keep your systems secure and up-to-date with the latest features.
